Coronal Mass Ejections
Fun fact, NASA recently announced the biggest solar flare in almost a decade was just ejected from the sun. How does this matter to you other then perhaps being interesting?
Science has proven that solar and geomagnetic activity affects Heart Rate Variability (HRV). HRV is the change in the time intervals between adjacent heartbeats. It is important to measuring how resilient someone is to stress. If you have lower HRV, you will be more susceptible to stress. If you have high HRV, you have increased ability to handle stressors. HRV, is directly related to the body’s inherent self-regulatory systems and ultimately, their efficiency and health. “An optimal level of HRV within an organism reflects health function and an inherent self regulatory capacity adaptability or resilience,” -McCraty and Shaffer.
There are a lot of things that effect HRV, and solar activity is just one. Knowing this, be sure to take extra good self care! Drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest, eat healthy meals, and go a little easier on yourself.
